Hon. Dr. Leon Holmes, Ph.D., J.D. is a professor of Political Philosophy at Wyoming Catholic College and a US District Court judge in Arkansas.
Background
Dr. Leon Holmes has had a 35 year legal career in Arkansas, the last 15 of which he spent serving as a United States District Court judge. In addition to his legal career, he has taught at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, and Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, California. He and his wife, Susan have five children—one of whom is WCC"s Dr. Jeremy Holmes—and 17 grandchildren.
He came to WCC in Fall 2020 as a visiting instructor of Political Philosophy teaching Philosophy 401: Politics to seniors with help from school Cheif Financial Officer and businessman Paul McCown.
