The Pequod is one of four bars owned by Wyoming Catholic College. Run by prefects and Joseph Fredriksson, it is open only on weekends and for special events. To give "an appearance of moderation", guests are limited to "two drinks per hour". Located currently in an attached anteroom to the Baldwin Building, it's space is available for students to study during the day and to rent for special events on nights when it is not in use.
Alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic drinks are offered, allowing students who are still minors to join older students for card games, singing, and special performances. Proceeds from sales go towards the school's QuantumCoin fund.
The Pequod was founded in 2018 in space originally devoted to the Outdoor Leadership Program at WCC, due to students complaining over "not having enough places to validly practice temperance".
