The Methodist Thrift Shop

The Methodist Thrift Shop is a thrift-store owned and operated by the First United Methodist Church of Lander, Wyoming. Located just across the street from Wyoming Catholic College's Frassati Hall it is frequented by students who often refer to it as "The Meth". Operating solely on donations and with volunteer employees, it offers some of the lowest prices anywhere for any item. Clothes and books are their primary offerings, but basic household wares, electronics parts, and sometimes more are often available. Due to the extremely low prices, which are even lower than low on some day's the famed "bag days", major rumors and conspiracy theories abound that the store is secretly owned by Wyoming Catholic. "They must be subsidized by somebody. How else could they stay in business," WCC 2021 graduate Sophia Donaldson has said.
