The WCC Gospel Scrolls are most properly speaking copies of the Gospel of John, given to Sophomores in Theology 201, that are printed entirely on one side of a single sheet of paper. Their primary purpose is to help newly-minted Freshmen distinguish Sophomores from Upperclassmen. Beginning in 2020, however, the school confused the issue by giving Juniors copies of the Gospel of Mark printed in the same manner and appearance. According to sophomore Michael Dolson, the confusion over this change is so widespread as to even make his class question who they are: "I thought I was a real sophomore; then I realized the class above me still had scrolls."
